observed their people bowing to lifeless statues and realized that such worship
could not be true.

at the same conclusion: that the true Lord is the Creator of the heavens and
the earth.
Eventually, they met and shared
their thoughts, only to discover that they were united in belief. This bond of
faith brought them together, and they stood firm in declaring:
“Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens
and the earth. We will never call upon any deity besides Him.”
Their faith did not remain hidden
for long. News of them reached the tyrant king, who summoned them and demanded
that they renounce their belief. Despite the danger, they spoke with courage
and clarity, refusing to compromise their faith.
The king threatened them but granted
them time. This delay became a mercy from Allah. The young men decided that
preserving their faith was more important than staying among their people. They
chose to leave everything behind and flee.
They journeyed to the mountains and
found a cave where they sought refuge. There, they turned to Allah with a
heartfelt prayer, asking for mercy and guidance.
Then, a miracle occurred.
Allah caused them to fall into a
deep sleep—one that lasted not days or months, but centuries. During this time,
Allah protected them: the sun did not harm them, their bodies were preserved,
and their dog remained at the entrance, guarding them.
After many years, Allah awakened
them. They believed they had only slept for a short time. Unaware of the
centuries that had passed, they sent one of them to the city with old coins to
buy food.
When he entered the city, everything
had changed. The people, the environment, even the language felt different.
When he presented the coins, the people were astonished—they belonged to a
distant past.
Soon, the truth was revealed. The
people realized that these young men were from a bygone era. Their story became
a powerful sign, proving that resurrection after death is real.
People rushed to the cave,
witnessing this miracle. According to the strongest opinions of scholars of

Allah caused them to die.
After their death, the people
differed. Some said, “Build a structure over them,” while others—those with authority—said,
“We will surely build a place of worship over them.”

with their dog. The Qur’an teaches that the exact number is not the focus—the lesson
is.

numbers or details, but about faith, courage, and sincerity.
